This sparkling wine keeps in step with the tradition of sweet sparkling wines from Italy. It is very sweet and tastes like a juicy apple to me. It would go great with melons, strawberries, apples desserts, or any light and fruity pastry. It is very easy to drink, which led to me drinking a little more than I should have when we opened this bottle. It’s great for an afternoon get together for the girls, a bridal or baby shower perhaps. I think it would also be nice to welcome guests with at a dinner. The sweet flavor will really get their mouths watering for dinner to come and nothing says it’s time to celebrate better than a sparkling wine. |

Champagne vs. Sparkling wine, yes there is a difference. In short, it has to do with the place and the method of how the wine is made. This Italian wine is a great bubbly. It is sweet and not strong at all, which personally I don’t care for in a champagne or sparkling wine. I would recommend this wine for a wedding reception, anniversary, or any celebration. It is great and I think almost anyone would like it. Save a bottle for a special romantic getaway, or summer afternoon picnic for two. Grab some strawberries, a blanket, maybe some sweets and a bottle of a good sparkling wine and head to your favorite secluded getaway. Best of all, not that I’ve ever done this before, but remember sparkling wines and champagnes don’t require a corkscrew! Nothing ruins a romantic picnic with a good bottle of wine faster than the lack of a corkscrew. No big surprise, I am also a big fan of the movement to have screw caps on high quality wines. |
