Label Description:

Paul Jaboulet has been a respected shipper and vineyard owner in the Rhone Valley since 1834. They have chosen the name "Parallèle 45" to immortalize the location of the vineyards for their popular Cotes du Rhone selection. The monument pictured on the front label marks the 45th latitude which passes through many of the finest wine growing regions of the northern hemisphere.

Ed Forget simply great wine, this wine qualifies as awesome. This is a simply awesome wine since this wine is very inexpensive approximately 12 dollars from wine.com and tastes better than many more expensive vintages. This wine is arguably the best red I have had for such a low price. It is a blended wine so it has a lot of flavors. The great thing about this blended wine is that it is very versatile and pairs well with many different foods. It was a really good pairing with Portobello mushrooms. I am happy to add this wine to our list of simply great wines!
Jill This wine blew me away. It offers incredible flavor for the price. Fully flavored without being overpowering. It’s very nicely balanced, not too much alcohol heat or too much sweet fruit. There was lots of pepper and a little oak. I’ll be keeping a few of these to keep around and pull out when friends and family stop over or to take to their homes. It is a very versatile red that went great with mushrooms when I tried it, but would also be great with steak and lamb.
