A great wine to go with sausage. A little hot (that is, a bit of alcohol taste) would cut through a fatty sausage or a marbled steak marvelously. Flavors of peppers, clove and blackberry with a nice linger in your mouth give lots of flavor that would be good alone or with heavier, spicier food. It would be particularly good with sausage, spicy meats, and pungent cheese. It tastes better if it’s exposed to air for a few minutes. Try it when it is first opened and then notice the difference a few minutes later. |

This is a very unique red wine. It is a little on the strong side (this is called hot I am told) but with a really great flavor. It is almost spicy in taste with some great aromas to go with it. Being an Italian wine it is probably no surprise that this wine paired well with Lasagna, and would go well with any of your upcoming Italian meals. It would also go well with your next steak dinner or even barbeque if you want to mix it up a bit. I think the spiciness of the wine would pair nicely with some of the traditional barbeque fair. It is definitely a wine worth trying and a keeper for my collection.
