Label Description:

The Yalumba Y series of varietal wines celebrates the exuberant personality and colourful 150 year history of the Hill Smith family of Yalumba, Australia's oldest family owned winery. Golden in colour, the Yalumba Viognier enchants with its heady perfume of lemon, honeysuckle and hints of spice. The palate is rich, luscious and silky with tropical fruits, citrus and lychee flavors.

Reviews
Jill This is a great wine for people who like very dry wines. It is full bodied with nice acidity, lots of citrus flavors and a little honey. The dryness, acidity and citrus flavors would make this a great match for poultry with a heavy sauce or gravy.
Ed If you like a dry white wine then I highly recommend this 2005 Viognier from Yalumba. It is a strong white wine and will not be easily overpowered by stronger flavored foods like many whites tend to be. If you are not a fan of dry wines then I would stay away from this one and check out one of our recommended Riesling or Sauvignon Blanc wines. This wine caught me off guard at first and I was a little surprised by how strong it was. It is not strong in a bad way however, quite the contrary, in fact after a few sips I found that I rather enjoyed it. It has a lot of citrus and acidic tastes, which helps it stand up to stronger flavors like Turkey or even Pork. I would also consider this white for your next spicy Thai cooking adventure.
