I liked this wine and think it is a great example of being able to really get the feel for tannins in a wine. It has a lot of tannin and is a little on the hotter side (slightly strong taste of alcohol), but still very worthy of being placed on our site. This is a great companion for heavier flavored foods, such as your traditional beef or lamb.
If you are new to reds I would recommend starting with a pinot noir like a King Estate or the 2003 Parallel 45 Rouge. But for those of you who like a good red with a strong character and a potential to keep and age nicely, then by all means check out this wine.

There are lots of tannins in this Cabernet Sauvignon, a little oak for character and a lovely blackberry jam flavor. It’s a good all around wine that would go well with a lot of foods made with red meat. This makes it perfect for having friends over for a barbeque. |
